Learn without Fear The global campaign to end violence in schools

Violence in schools is a truly global problem. The violence may be corporal punishment, sexual abuse, neglect, verbal and emotional abuse, bullying, peer-to-peer violence, youth gangs, weapons or harassment on the journey to and from school.An internal survey carried out in 2007 across all the countries in which Plan operates found that the main school violence issues affecting the children and communities we work with are corporal punishment, sexual violence and bullying.This report outlines Plan’s Learn Without Fear campaign and focuses on corporal punishment, sexual violence and bullying in schools.
