Trafficking in Women from Romania into Germany Comprehensive Report

The results of the study are largely based on interviews with experts from both public and private entities and trafficking victims in Romania and Germany as well as on analyzes of court files. The fieldwork was carried out in parallel by interdisciplinary research teams in Germany and in Romania.

The research aimed particularly at gathering first-hand data on the experience and background of the victims, the trafficking routes and modus operandi of traffickers, as well as information on governmental and non-governmental measures to counter the phenomenon in both countries so as to identify best practices and formulate policy recommendations.
