Tirana, Albania during the 3rd, 4th and 5th of February, a workshop was organized to strengthen the coordination between Tdh Albania and Tdh Kosovo on Transnational Case Management System.
Alone in the year 2009, 80 children at risk of exploitation/trafficking were identified on the streets of Kosovo while begging. The main goal of this workshop was to find an effective solution by offering protection to these children moving from Albania to Kosovo and vice versa.
Since these two countries lack of an efficient child protection system inside each country and between them, leaving the children unprotected during their movement or in the country of destination, Tdh is taking the next steps to build a Transnational Case Management System in both of the countries Albania and Kosovo by implementing a Child Protection Safety Net. At the end of the workshop an action plan was settled between the two delegations in order to take immediate action for the Albanian children coming to Kosovo. [ZD]
