Bulgaria Baby boom in Bulgaria in 2009

‘Sofia Echo’ reports that the year 2009 was the most fertile for Bulgaria since 1995, with an increase of babies born of 3244 from the previous year. If this rate is maintained, Bulgaria might be able to cope with its steep population decline due to an ageing population and emigration.
