‘The Moscow Times’ reports of a peculiar case in which a Belgian gay couple had a son via a surrogate mother in Ukraine. Due to some gaps in Belgian legislation it took two years for the boy to receive Belgian passport and to be able to leave the country. He spent a full year in an orphanage after spending his first 16 months with a foster family.
