Bulgaria Bulgaria named worst place in EU to raise children

‘Press TV’ reports of a meeting held by human rights advocates and state officials about the protection of children in state institutions. NGOs demanded full access to the care homes to be able to monitor the care of children. As reported earlier, the Bulgarian Helsinki committee documented 238 cases of children’s death in these homes. The title refers to a measurement system developed by a UK Foundation to assess the pressure on families with children. Bulgaria and Romania came out as the worst in terms of these financial and other pressures.
