Bulgaria Bulgarian citizenship: the latest numbers

‘Sofia Echo’ reports on the latest trends of immigration into this new EU member states. Of the 5773 people that were granted citizenship this year most have come from Macedonia (4200) while the rest from Moldova, Serbia and Ukraine. Most of these applicants are double-nationals, staying in their own country.
