Moldova Children heading households in Moldova

29 Nov 2010 |

The ‘New York Times’ published an article showing the photography of Andrea Diefenbach, a professional photojournalist who went to Moldova with the mission to describe the daily lives of Moldovan children. It shows that many Moldovan people go to Italy or to other Western countries, performing unskilled labor, often in agriculture, housekeeping or health in order to save their families from poverty. Meanwhile, children left behind in Moldova and deprived of their childhoods, early take responsibilities and try to survive.
