France Children's Ombudsperson at risk of being closed down

‘CRIN’ reports that the French government has decided to close down the independent institution of Children’s Ombudsperson and merge it into one general ombudsman. The current Ombudsperson Dominique Versini is "asking the government for an explanation on how such an important decision could have been made behind closed doors with no consultation."
