2380_icd_2_smallJune 1, 2011, Chisinau, Moldova: Tdh participated in an NGO Fair for children, in celebration of the International Children’s Day.

NGO Fair for Children” was organized by UNICEF, Oak Foundation and the Moldovan Parliament. It brought together 10 NGOs that advocate for children’s rights and raise the awareness of society and decision makers about the basic rights of children.

The main aim of Tdh’s participation at this event was to inform parents and children, the authorities and media about Tdh’s projects and its activities in protecting and promoting the rights of children in Moldova.

The Tdh stand presented a large variety of children’s creations. Guests and participants had the opportunity to admire the talents of children from rural and urban areas and their messages that were expressed through drawings, paintings, applications, handicrafts etc. One the most noteworthy message is that all these creations develop personal and social skills of the children (resilience, social integration, etc.) and last but not least, their capacity to express their emotions, thoughts and feelings freely.

The stand was shared with a team of the Association for Child and Family Empowerment “Ave Copiii”, a residential care complex service, which aims to (re)integrate children into their families and to prevent child abandonment.

The children’s creations from both projects presented the activities that improve the psychosocial status of children, using different tools: games, non – formal learning, creative activities etc.(AD)
