It gives the animators possibility to master their skills in organized and progressive way. The National Project Manager, Alexei, gives his opinion: “I was curious why even teenagers (from 7-9 classes) have so much pleasure playing these simple games. During one coaching session I got the answer… In many communities kindergartens are closed now and children miss very important period of their childhood. A time where they play different games and try themselves in different roles”.

“In Cremenciug community children organized a New Year celebration based on MOVE games. During a debrief after one session, I remember children saying that they enjoyed very much the games because they felt no judgment and competitions as during physical education lesson; and over all their relationships were very good and close, as between true friends.”

“For our first lesson, we used a very simple structure. At the beginning, the animator told us how he/she feels now and how it was during the lesson; what was good and what could be changed. Afterwards, we shared with them our opinions. With time the process of coaching began more and more as a conversation between colleagues – more open but at the same time a bit more structured. Now we are starting and finishing with objectives of the lesson. During our conversation we come from feelings to actions, from general approach to concrete activities used during the lesson.”

Maria, one of the animators, declares: “I am very much pleased to see children happy and satisfied. It means the energy I spent to prepare the lecture during two nights did not go down the drain! I took the same objectives as last time but with new activities because I was not satisfied with previous lecture”.
