Greece European Court of Human Rights rules against Greece in a Roma Children's Case

- The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled against Greece due to a discrimination case involving Roma children. The later, were racially prejudiced through school enrolment formalities and their placement in special classes in the village of Aspropyrgos. In this case called ‘Sampanis and Others v. Greece’ Roma children of the claimant had missed the school year 2004-2005 and were removed from public classrooms to special preparatory classes.
