Turkey Experts warn against growing number of child beggars

• ’Sunday’s Zaman’ reports that data compiled by police indicate a sharp increase in the number of child beggars in the past few years. According to a report prepared by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce children are even bought and sold among “beggar mafia”. It seems government is doing little to stop the exploitation of children.
