Moldova First two sports halls are open for MOVE
Project : MOVE 25 Nov 2011 | psychosocial
October, 2011, Circova and Danceni, Moldova: In collaboration with local councils, parents and donations from local business people, Terre des hommes renovated two sports halls in Circova and Danceni and officially opened them to the public and children in November. During these events participants – children – of the MOVE activities had the opportunity to play the psychosocial games that they’ve already learned and love under the guidance of their teachers-animators that support and promote the MJS methodology.
The children, as well as the animators, were glad to “use” the new hall, especially because they didn’t need to be dressed in many layers of clothes. The new heating systems was installed as a part of the renovation process. “I’m here together with my youngest child. And this is the first time when I don’t need to dress him up in such warm clothes. My two older children also attended this school and I remember very well the cold that used to be something already usual for us” tells a mother of three, who was glad to join her child at the activities.
The purpose of this project is to create a warm and suitable environment for the children, where they can participate at the MOVE activities, not being constrained by anything. In December there will be more sports halls being opened in the district of Soroca district, as the process of rebuilding and repairing continues. (MS)
