Kosovo "Follow me, I am the future"

Bajgora, Kosovo: “Follow me, I am the future” was the message for the multiethnic camp with children held in Bajgora National Park, Kosovo, on 15-17 of May. The aim of this 3-day multiethnic camp was to raise self-awareness, resolve conflicts, teamwork, building trust and interethnic tolerance and on top of all peace-building for a better future.
The participants included 134 children from two communities, Kosovar and Serbian, under the responsibility of 62 adults, members of Kosovo Police, US KFOR and Tdh team. The children were 9-14 years old, of the police members who lost their lives on duty, and children of police members living in difficult socio-economical situation, from all the regions of Kosovo.
This multiethnic camp was organized on behalf of the Kosovo Police in partnership with Terre des hommes Delegation in Kosovo a nd US KFOR. The preparation and development of the activities was conducted by the Tdh staff with the support of the Kosovo Police, Kosovo Police Academy and US KFOR. At the end of the camp, appreciation certificates and pedagogical materials were distributed among the children participants. [ZD]
