European Union Foreign Ministers must agree to halt new adoptions from Haiti

  • ‘Reliefweb’ reports that Save the Children and World Vision made a statement asking that first an exhaustive search needs to be made to reunite families in Haiti after the earthquake, before any international adoption can be made. They called on EU ministers to ban new adoptions into Europe and support Haitian government to put trained personnel on the borders to prevent child trafficking.
