Germany German teachers to get guidelines on forced marriage
11 Jun 2010 |
‘Expatica’ reports that teachers in Germany will get guidelines on how to pick up early signs of pupils being forced into marriage and how to handle these cases and refer them to child protection services. In typical cases girls are sent back to the home country of the parents in Turkey, Lebanon, Syria or Kosovo to marry someone they chose for them, while they can often not return, lacking a German passport.
