Europe Governments should raise national standards in adoption procedures

• ‘Focus News Agency’ reports that the Council of Europe and the European Commission organised a two-day conference on international adoption, during which the best interest of the child, the child’s right to be heard and to have access to his/her origins were in focus. Participants unanimously called on European governments to sign and ratify the revised Council of Europe Convention on Adoption.
