The Fourth Balkans Regional Conference on HIV and AIDS will be held in Durres – Albania on 26 and 27 March 2009. The theme of this 2009 conference is Healthy Mobility – Reducing HIV and other vulnerabilities. Some highlights of the Conference include: Mobility and HIV prevention; the challenges of HIV services for mobile populations; challenges in HIV and TB prevention and continuity of care; youth mobility HIV including street children; BCC approaches for mobile population.

This Fourth Balkans Regional Conference is organized by ‘Partnerships in Health’ in collaboration with ‘UNAIDS’ and other partners with partial support from the Swedish ‘Sida’. The Conference is open to stakeholders from both the Balkans and the international community who are active in HIV prevention, AIDS care and support. Participants include members of public and private health and non-health sectors, PLHIV, vulnerable and at risk groups, bilateral donors, and international organizations. The Conference is a unique forum for all to share lessons-learned and to build new skills. [VT]
