The European Parliament reports on its website, that Parliament, in its resolution on Libya called on Member States to stop deporting people to Libya where they face a serious risk of death, torture or inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment. Also, it pointed out that any cooperation or agreement between the EU and Libya must be conditional on the ratification and implementation by the country of the Geneva convention on Refugees and of other major human rights conventions and protocols.
