Europe Human Rights Council Adopts Eight Resolutions

  • The Human Rights Council adopted eight resolutions under its agenda item on the promotion and protection of all human rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to development, concerning the creation of an open-ended Working Group on an Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child to provide a communications procedure; accelerating efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against women; trafficking in persons, especially women and children; the promotion of the right of peoples to peace; and guidelines for the alternative care of children.
