European Union Human Rights Day

• The ‘Europa’ website announces the motto of this year’s Human Rights Day: “_*Embrace diversity, end discrimination”*_. On this day, Vladimir Spidla, commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities said “_discrimination represents a waste of talent”_ and that “_equality and non-discrimination are not luxuries reserved for times of economic growth”._
