UK Human trafficking: UK convictions are lowest in five years

‘UTV’ reports that convictions for human trafficking have been the lowest this year in the UK over a five year period. While government claims prosecution of traffickers is a priority, charities, including ECPAT and Anti-Slavery International feel that the current system of identification of victims is not adequate and the double intent (trafficking and exploitation) is extremely difficult to prove.
