The summer program took place in the capital city and also in Fushe Kosove, Prizren, Gjakove and Mitrovica. Apart from the recreational and psychosocial interests, these specific activities are organised every summer to entertain children in a safe and child friendly environment and to identify children at risk of various forms of exploitation.

Zana Daka, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist of Tdh in Kosovo recalls the nice moments and the words of the children: "I just remembered a child saying: ‘Thanks God for the activities because I don’t have to go out on the streets to beg.’ And another one saying: ‘I cant wait for school to begin so I will not have to go back on the streets…’

Zana continues “the children wrote also some poetry and short stories, you want to read them? I have translated one in English, it is called ‘Little Ben’…”

Five years old he goes to school while crying,
The teacher asks: Why Ben are you crying?
I am crying because I miss my mom
Little Ben don’t cry, you should know that
Even here you have a mom
Little Ben happily wiped his tears
And began playing with his peers.
