European Union Improving the situation of Roma

‘Consilium Europa’ reports that the Council of Ministers adopted an EU framework for National Roma Integration up to 2020, inviting member states to close the gaps between marginalised Roma communities and the general population in the areas of education, employment, healthcare and housing. Member states are asked to draw up their national strategies by the end of the year and to set achievable targets in the four priority areas.
