Germany In light of abuse scandal, Germany steps up child protection

‘Deutsche Welle’ reports that a recent abuse case that came into light compelled the German government to introduce stricter legislation for sex offenders and increase training for child protection officers to identify cases of sexual abuse – despite the non-reporting by family members or the victims.
