Europe Iraqi babies for sale: people trafficking crisis grows as gangs exploit families

The ‘Guardian’ publishes a report on the increase of the child trafficking phenomenon in Iraq. Gangs are said to exploit the dramatic situation of families to buy babies and sold them in Middle East or European countries like Switzerland, Ireland, the UK, Portugal and Sweden. According to the report, many children are used as sexual workers or sold to paedophiles, but families are deceived by gangs which use intermediates pretending to work for NGOs and saying that the children would have a better live abroad.
