Bulgaria Italians adopt the highest number of children

- ‘Sofia Echo’ reports that in 2007 28 of the 81 Bulgarian children adopted abroad went to Italian parents. According to Justice Minister Popova in 2009 this number grew to 112 out of 220. Bulgaria and Italy agreed to start a program for the integration of young adults leaving children’s homes in Bulgaria.
