Turkey Joint EU seminar puts juvenile justice under spotlight

’Today’s Zaman’ reports that a joint EU-Turkey seminar focused on the Turkish juvenile justice system. According to EU progress reports sentences of minors are severe and there were claims of ill treatment. Former judge of the European Court of Human Rights pointed out that structural reforms are needed.
