Kosovo Keeping Children Safe

Pristine, Kosovo: A workshop “Keeping Children Safe” was organized on behalf of the MARIO project on the 23rd and 24th of September in Pristine, Kosovo. The aim of this workshop was to bring together all the relevant institutions to exchange information on Child Protection Policy, and to be trained at the same time in areas where Child Protection Policy is absent.
The participants included: CPU’s-Child Protection Units from Pristine, Peja, Mitrovica, Ferizaj, Gjakova, School Psychologists, Local shelters-Hoppe and Hommes for Children and PVPT-Protect Victims Prevent Trafficking, Save the Children and its implementation partner Youth Council and Terre des hommes team, in total 36 participants.
During the training the participants had the chance to share their positions and feelings on their daily work with children. Throughout the training they became more aware of the importance and relevance of Child Protection Policy and its implementation. The participants will be able to apply the child protection toolkit-Keeping Children Safe as well as contribute in the process of drafting the Child Protection Standards in Kosovo. [ZD]
