The current attempt of pop star Madonna to adopt a four-year-old in Malawi is drawing lots of comments in the world-wide media. While the ‘Star Tribune’ writes that Madonna’s fame helps to bring to the headlines the thematic of orphans children around the world, ‘BBC News’ is trying to respond to this question: “Should parents in affluent countries be encouraged to adopt children from different cultures in the developing world ?”
