Bulgaria Many Bulgarian school buses fail safety standards

‘Sofia Echo’ reports that an investigation of the Ministry of Interior revealed that a high number of school buses do not meet technical safety standards and documentation. There are 2000 buses registered nationwide, delivering children to 1181 schools. In one case for example an 8-person bus was carrying 18 pupils, others had safety shortcomings.
