European Union MEPs call for parliament debate on situation of Roma

‘Parliament.com’ reports that MEP Verhofstadt called for a parliamentary debate on the situation of Roma in Europe. He not only mentioned the French closure of 300 illegal Roma camps, but also the “exiling” of German-born Roma children to Kosovo as well as Italian Interior Minister’s idea to restrict the free movement of Roma people. He said these events ridiculed the values of the European Union.
