Europe Migration: Barrot calls for further help to Malta

Comment : Due to its small size and population density, Malta is having to carry a disproportionate burden in term of illegal migration, said EU Justice Commissioner Jacques Barrot during his visit to Malta. The ‘Times of Malta’, also reports that Mr Barrot spoke about the need to accelerate the creation of a new European Asylum Agency, in order to help overburdened member states with influxes of illegal immigrants.
