Russia Moscow plans to abolish office of ombudsperson for children

- According to CRIN quoting Nasi Deti Russian website, the Moscow Parliament has agreed to abolish the office of the children’s rights ombudsman in Moscow. Experts say the decision is depriving Moscow of the basis for a child rights protection system. They argue that other regions might follow this practice leading to children across the region will lose the protection and support a specific children’s ombudsperson’s office confers.
