Moldova MOVE project launched

‘Info-Prim’ reports that the MOVE project was officially presented in Moldova on January 17. The project of Terre des hommes, with funding by UEFA aims at the psychosocial development of children through games and sports and is currently running in four countries in South Eastern Europe – Albania, Kosovo, Moldova and Romania. The article quotes Alexei Tarasenco, project manager in Chisinau saying the games and sports can help increase trust in one’s own abilities and they promote tolerance, respect, cooperation, honesty, creativity, responsibility and discipline. There will also be micro-initiatives to support the rehabilitation of sports facilities in schools or local associations as well as micro-grants for recreational equipment in order to improve the environment of the most disadvantaged communities.
