Europe New Child Protection Law Forces Children Into Court

The Finnish Broadcasting Company ‘YLE’ reports that a new domestic law which was suppose to improve the protection of children in difficult custody cases results in the contrary in more children being dragged into the courtroom. The law notably stipulates that all children over 12 years old have to be heard in cases where social workers suspect their parents to be unfit.
