UK New law saves 86 victims from forced marriages

‘The Independent’ reports that in the 12 months since the Forced Marriage and Civil Protection Act came into force, 86 forced marriage protection orders were issued. Also, a training program has been designed for police officers how to prevent or identify honour-based violence – which includes forced marriages, honour killings and female genital mutilation.
