29 Mar 2010 |
‘Sofia Echo’ reports that the European Commission has proposed new rules to step up the fight against trafficking. It would appoint an EU Anti-Trafficking Coordinator to make EU policy more efficient, coherent and visible, the consistency among national rules would increase, victims would receive accommodation, medical care and witness protection and awareness raising would be done for ‘potential victims’ on the risks of falling pray traffickers.
