Project : Regional Office 28 Oct 2008 |

314__tdh-childprotection_org__one_year_online_what_s_new_0_small 10’000 unique visitors and more than 65’000 pages visited … The one-year report on the results of the website is quite impressive! The whole team of tdh-childprotection.org is happy to see that its efforts to address child protection issues in Europe is corresponding to a growing interest among professionals , in public services, inter-governmental organisations, civil society and the media. In 12 months, the figure of 2’165 subscribers to the newsletter is one of the most significant indicators for a quite specialised website in English only…

Who are the visitors? 85% of the visits are from the entire Europe : from Tyumen (Russia) to Galway (Ireland) and from Rognan (Norway) to Catania (Italy). The first month of its launch in October 2007, the number of visits was 750, one year later, we reach an average of 2000 visits … The most visited rubrics are the news on the net, the document library and the country-project pages with the news from the field.

Today, a new design and a new rubric…

Go and see the page of the regional projects … We propose now an easier way to circulate between different types of activities implemented by Terre des hommes and its partners. The priority is given to the news from the field with an original set up and a new column of rubrics on the right side…

We are launching the Opinion papers ’ with two articles:

This new rubric gives the floor to child protection specialists , for them to express their concerns on recurrent and/or alarming issues in Europe today . We do hope that many comments from the readers would contribute to open and develop the necessary debates on how children could be at risk, ‘right here and right now’, and not only from the daily news but from the field experience…

This website would not exist without the strong implication of a great number of professionals who accepted to contribute to its conception, creation and content! Terre des hommes would like to thank, in alphabetic order: Alfonso, Artur, Cristiano, Barbara, Donjeta, Eliza, Elodie, Erjona, Francesca, Gaël, Guillaume, Ignacio, Imola, Jessica, Judit, Jyothi, Lucia, Marcela, Mathieu, Michèle, Mireille, Mirela, Muriel, Natalia, Nicolas, Orsolya, Ovidiu, Peter, Salvatore, Silvia, Sofia, Sophie, Stanka, Stojne, Teuta, Thierry, Vasilika, Vincent, Zana, Zsofia… [VT]
