Switzerland Paedophilia is now imprescriptible

• Crimes of paedophilia will now be considered as imprescriptible in Switzerland. Despite the opposition of the Government and almost all political parties, 52% of Swiss voters accepted on Sunday an initiative going in that direction. However, the text was not completely clear from a juridical point of view and must still be fulfilled by the Parliament. It should notably be clarified what kind of crimes will be considered as imprescriptible and which definition will be given to ‘non-pubescent children’.
