UK Police, prisons and probation 'failing to tackle child gangs'

‘The Guardian’ reports that according to a two-year inquiry police, prisons and probation services are failing to acknowledge the dangers of young people getting involved in gangs. Intervention is patchy and sometimes counter-productive. The main recommendation is that an integrated national strategy should be developed on gangs to support criminal justice and community agencies in tackling causes and effects.
