Slovakia Prime Minister: boarding schools only way to help Roma

‘Reuters Alertnet’ reports that the Slovak Prime Minister made a statement that Roma children should be taken from their ’impoverished settlements and put into boarding schools to hasten integration’. According to the deputy prime minister top Roma officials gave their preliminary approval to the plan. Only the European Roma Information Office was quoted criticizing it, pointing out that all-Roma boarding schools go against the integrative approaches of the EU.
