European Union Recession, controls cut illegal immigration to EU

‘Reuters’ reports that according to Frontex, the economic crisis and tougher border controls lead to a sharp decrease in illegal immigration into the EU. After Libya, Mauritania and Senegal introduced measures to stop immigrants from departing, 9 out of 10 illegal immigrants arrive in Greece – mostly from Albania and Turkey.
