Malta Reporting child abuse should be made mandatory, insists Cristina

‘The Malta Independent online’ reports that Ms Dolores Cristina, Minister for Education, Employment and the Family, insists that reporting child sex abuse should be made mandatory and any amendments to the current legislation should ensure that the law provides for children’s complete protection. (…) The Maltese newspaper indicates that Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said recently that the government is open to talks with regard to possible changes to the law regulating child abuse investigations.
