Turkey Rights activists join CoE in calling for ban on corporal punishment

’Today’s Zaman’ reports that Turkish children’s rights advocates started a campaign to stop all forms of violence against children – just as the Council of Europe is urging its members to ban corporal punishment. Rather then just focusing on corporal punishment, groups urge to stop all forms of violence and to change the system that legitimises it.
