Serbia Roma children prone to labor exploitation

‘B92’ reports that according to the Deputy Ombudsman for Children’s Rights, Roma children are abandoning school early, and are more prone to falling victims to labour exploitation She pointed out that 90% of Roma children between 15-18 do not attend school as opposed to 22% of the general population. Unfortunately in most cases the cause and effect are reversed: Roma children drop out of school in order to work and assist their families.
