‘Nine O’Clock’ reports that almost 200 Romanian Roma were evacuated by the French police from a Marseille camp on Tuesday morning. The move triggered harsh criticism from the Human Rights League. “Two more camps of Roma remain in Marseille. The one eliminated now, which was older, sheltered children who were going to school. Once again, the camp was eliminated and children will not be able to go to school anymore”, the head of the local Human Rights League branch, Bernard Eynaud said. Meanwhile on Monday, dozens of Roma staged a protest in downtown Paris, staging banners reading “Dignity” and “Education without borders” in French.
