8 Oct 2010 | roma social exclusion inclusion

‘Amnesty International’ reports that the Serbian authorities evicted Roma families, including 17 children from their homes in Belgrade to make way for a road construction. The 36 people were evicted for the second time since 2003. Amnesty International urged the Belgrade authorities to stop the forced evictions and provide people with alternative accommodation.
