Europe Roma in Sweden: showing the way?

• Sweden is recognized as one of the most progressive countries in terms of Roma rights in Europe. As part of a series on Roma in Europe, Masha Alexandrova of BBC Russian reports on the Swedish success in Roma integration policy. As an illustration for Sweden leading position in Roma integration, the article shows how State efforts facilitated Roma children’s access to education and maintaining their own community rules over the decades.
